TAMPA, Fla. (May 31, 2013) – IRONMAN today announced that it has chosen Mont-Tremblant, Québec, Canada to host the 2014 IRONMAN® 70.3® World Championship triathlon. The championship race will be held on September 7, 2014 and marks the first time in IRONMAN history that a single location has the privilege to host three major IRONMAN events: IRONMAN®, IRONMAN® 70.3® and now the IRONMAN® 70.3® World Championship. This major announcement was made in the presence of Québec’s Prime Minister, Pauline Marois and the Mayor of the City of Mont-Tremblant, Pierre Pilon.

    On May 10, 2014, the Thomas Cook IRONMAN 70.3 Mallorca will take place on the island of Mallorca. The Spanish island, known as a training paradise to many cyclists and triathletes, will host a qualifying race for the Ironman World Championship 70.3.
