Race Information
When is race day?
The race is on the May 10th, 2014.
Where does it take place?
The race takes place in the northern part of Mallorca, an island in the mediterranean sea. The swim course is located in the harbour area of the city of Alcúdia. The bike course takes the athletes up the mountains of the island and is a one loop course. It is a challenging up- and downhill course with long flat parts. The run course is a flat 3 loop course along the wonderful beach of Alcúdia. The finishline is located in the harbour area, about 500 meters apart from the swim start.

What is the entry fee?
Until December 31st, the entry fee is EUR 230.- (+ 6 % Active processing fee) for single athletes and EUR 255.- ( + 6 % Active processing fee) for teams. After January 1st a late registration fee of EUR 50.- is added. Major credit cards only (VISA, AMEX and MASTER CARD); cash or checks will not be accepted.

How do I cancel my registration?

How is the climate in May?
The expected water temperature for May is between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius. Air temperature is expected to be in a range from 15 to 25 degrees Celsius.
Is there a waiting list for the races when they are sold out?
No, we don’t offer a waiting list.
Are there age requirements?
Entrants must be at least 18 years of age on race day.
What age group will I race in on race day?
All qualifying events will implement both the International Triathlon Federation and USA Triathlon’s Age Group Competition rule: All age group athletes must compete in the age group division corresponding to the athlete’s age on December 31st of the year of the event.

How do I get there?
Thomas Cook is proud to be the official travel partner of this event and offers attractive travel packages from different airports. Please visit the travel section of this website to learn more about the offers. The airport of Palma de Mallorca is easy to reach from any major European airport. After a 40 minutes drive on the highway to the north you will reach the harbour of Alcudia.
What categories are offered?
Professional and Age Group as well as relay teams (2/3 persons).
What is the prize money?
The first 5 men and women in the Pro category of the Thomas Cook IRONMAN 70.3 Mallorca will receive prize money.
The prize money of US$ 15’000.– will be distributed equally to the men and women as follows:

| 3rd place: | US$ 1’250.– |
| 4th place: | US$ 750.– |
| 5th place: | US$ 500.– |
The prize money will be paid out after the results of the doping tests have been received. Please note that the tax at source will have to be deducted from payments to athletes from outside Spain. The prizes (if available) for the athletes of the age group must be collected personally at the awards ceremony. No prizes will be sent by mail.
What are the courses cut off times?
Swim: 1 hour 10 minutes
Bike: 5 hours 30 minutes*
Run: 8 hours
*Another cut off time is at 1 p.m. at km 35 of the bike course.

Rules
Where do I find general race information and rules?
The Rules and Regulations have been updated and are now available to download here. These Rules and Regulations apply to all IRONMAN, IRONMAN 70.3 and 5150 races in Europe.
Pasta Party / Awards Ceremony
Will my entry include banquet tickets?
Yes. All athletes receive complimentary entry into the Pasta Party and the Awards Ceremony with their athlete wristband.
How do I purchase banquet tickets for family and friends?
You will be able to purchase additional tickets during the online registration.
Additional tickets can be purchased at the registration (Race Office Thursday and Friday from 10 am till 6 pm).
Race Photos
Who do I contact regarding race photos?
FinisherPix is proud to be selected as the Official Photo Service of the Inaugural Thomas Cook IRONMAN 70.3 Mallorca.
FinisherPix will have several photographers working at the swim exit, on the bike course, on the run course, and of course, at the Finish Line! In addition, FinisherPix will have photographers positioned after the finish where you can have a photo taken after you receive your medal.
So what do you need to do?
- Register your email address at www.finisherpix.com to be notified as soon as photos are online.
- Please be sure you have your number visible on the FRONT of your bike helmet so we can identify your cycling photos.
- Please be sure to keep your bib number visible on the FRONT of your body during the run & at the finish line so we can identify your photos.
- Smile & celebrate when you cross the finish line! Don’t worry about touching your watch, the timing company will ensure an accurate record of your achievement.

Qualifying
How many slots to the IRONMAN® 70.3® World Championship ?
There will be 30 qualifying Age Group slots to the IRONMAN® 70.3® World Championship in Mont-Tremblant, Québec, Canada awarded at the Thomas Cook IRONMAN® 70.3® Mallorca. The IRONMAN® 70.3® World Championship 2014 takes place on September 7th.
